Hopeful Living

Updated: Mar 13, 2019

We walk around on this earth hoping to just make it and just making it is never enough. There is a reason for the hope that comes into our lives. That reason is Jesus.

Recently I had been writing about struggles and how you can grow in your walk with God despite tribulations in your life. That means I have posted nine posts on struggles. I felt this was not necessarily a bad thing to write on but also that it was time to move on from the struggle. There is a time and a season for everything as the bible says in Ecclesiastes chapter three. Through reading and praying I felt the need to move onto the next step in living for God after a struggle. We all have trials and tribulations. We don't all look to Jesus in them. We look to counceling (which is a good thing just not always a God-influenced thing), and we look to friends family, even throw ourselves into working through our trials. However, God is definitely the answer to our problems and I would be doing everyone reading this post an injustice leaving that fact out. So I have come to talk about hope and faith today in this blog post.

Starting off with Hebrews 11:1 as it says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hope is a substance which defined by google dictionary means," the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence."The presence of something that is not always felt or physically seen but something emotionally felt and seen through a person's character and how they act and continue on with their life. Jesus effects and impacts how we go on with our life in a troubling situation and after a troubling situation. More times than less, if Jesus is not only involved but we allow Him control of the problem, we come out better off than before. And so going along with the substance of hope and what exactly that is, the result would be faith. Faith being as google defines it is,"complete trust or confidence in someone or something." So the meaning of having faith is hoping in a substance in a person greater than us. Hoping in God through anything leads us to faith in God which therein lies a hopeful life and a life full of faith.

No matter the situation the truth remains the same and that truth is God. In John 14:6 Jesus says He is the way, THE TRUTH and the life. The easiest way to explain it is just as plain as Jesus said it in John 14:6, that He is the truth which means He is also the answer.

Look at it this way, if 2+2=4 then the answer will be 4. So, if the answer comes in faith+hope=God then the answer to the problem will always be God.

I hope this article made sense. Please feel free to comment and ask questions. Thanks for reading!
