Matthew 22:14, “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Many chose not to except there call. Many chose not to pick up their cross. Many chose not to keep on in prayer, therefore excluding Jesus from their lives.
Titus 1:14, “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works.”
He came to give a us a better life, a life of hope and peace and grace and love.
I heard it put this way once, the more we allow the Holy Ghost to work in our lives, the more on fire for Jesus we get, the more the Holy Ghost fire can burn those impurities and imperfections out of our life. The more we seek after God by prayer and fasting, the more God can take care of those sins that are hindering us from living a fulfilled life in Christ.
Deuteronomy 4:24,”For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”
Place one thing, even one thing, ahead of God, you not only put God second, you allow that thing to be lord over you and dictate your life. The more we don’t filter our lives, excess dirt and grime fills us and allows us less access to God and God less access to us. GOD DOESN’T LIMIT US! DON’T PUT A LIMIT ON GOD!
You may think, “ God, why aren’t you hearing me? Why aren’t you moving, doing something, ANYTHING?!”
Reason being, most often put something between us and God. Generally, that something is convenience.
You want a better outcome? Make a change for the better. When the equation YOU use to try living everyday life with, doesn’t work. Then find a routine that does. You cannot have a different outcome with the same bad habits used before.
The bible says, in Mark 1:17, “Come ye after me and I will make you fishers of men.”
And mark 1:18 says, And STRAIGHTWAY they forsook their nets, and followed him.”
You see we have a lot of “nets” in our lives. We also have a lot of things that we call “lifelines”.
For example a phone is sometimes called a lifeline. Do we really think an addiction to our electronic device will be effective for achievement and success, spiritually, physically or mentally?
Is your phone really a lifeline? Or is it a net you just get caught up?
A distraction from the truth?
The disciples were so captivated by Jesus they didn't allow anything to get in there way of following Him.
The disciples forsook their net because they found something much greater. A loving God, who sought them out.
Jesus is seeking and searching...
Where does our priority lie and what , rather who, is your actual lifeline.
Is it your cellphone ? TV? Games? Or some other distraction keeping you from fulfilling your true calling in Jesus? Romans 8:6, “for to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Once you have experienced the love of God there will be nothing to come anywhere close to equivalent to it!
God is our anchor - Hebrews 6:19, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;”
If you allow Him he can be your peace, your light, your way, your anchor today.
Another scripture, Isaiah 26:3,” Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
BECOME CAPTIVATED BY THE LOVE OF GOD.
He will send you places you would never have thought you could go, heights you never thought of reaching to, and depths far deeper than anyone has ever experienced before. Allow yourself to be captivated by the will of God for your life because it is a marvelous one.
Psalm 42:7, “Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.”
Romans 8:39, “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Choose to accept God’s call on your life by allowing God to show His greatness, in His word, in His way, in your life.
Be captivated!
