A Work in Progress

When a person is in progress we don't always see the progress. That's why it is good to reflect back on our work now and again. Sometimes we only make it an inch at a time, not a foot or mile. But without inches we wouldn't have feet and with out feet we wouldn't have miles. If you want to master a great feat you sometimes need to take small steps. Job 17:9, "Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger." The common saying, " I grow stronger and stronger everyday," the saying, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." The bible even says we can grow stronger everyday through God's love and guidance. I feel like almost all verses referring to blessing always lead me back to Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” God will bless when we search. When we praise and lift up His name we are saying to God, "God, you are bigger than anything I am going through. You are bigger than any problem or situation I may be facing." That prayer has gotten me through so many rough times. Matthew also says in chapter 11 and verses 28-30, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” God can take every issue that is seeming to be in the way of your progress and make them stepping stones to greater things. Do not be discouraged or dismayed when hard times come and tribulation seems never ending there is an answer to your suffering and end to the pain. Jesus is the answer. We are a work in progress. While we are on this earth we will be striving towards perfection reaching toward the ultimate destination, heaven. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
